In the heart of Burgundy

10/10/2022

Welcome to Burgundy-Franche-Comté. Among the many activities contributing to tourism in the region is the cycle-rail. In Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, the vélorail is practiced from Cordesse station (Saône-et-Loire), from which two routes go to the neighboring department of Côte-d'Or, one of which leads to Barnay ( 8 km round trip), the other towards Manlay (22 km round trip). Bourgogne-Franche-Comté is home to several UNESCO World Heritage monuments such as the Abbey of Fontenay, the Basilica of Vézelay, the climats of the Burgundy vineyard, which also includes villages of the Côte-d'Or, the city of Beaune and the city center of Dijon, the citadel of Besançon, the urban wall and Fort Griffon, as part of the network of major Vauban sites, the royal saltworks of Arc-et-Senans and the saltworks of Salins-les-Bains, or the sites of Lac de Chalain and the Grand Lac de Clairvaux.
